About the Cancer Chemical Biology M.S. Program
The Cancer Chemical Biology program offers students an accelerated one-year experience grounded in quantitative scientific curriculum in an exciting, emerging field.
This program may be of interest to post-baccalaureate students seeking additional quantitative scientific coursework and experience prior to applying to graduate school, medical school, pharmacy school, nursing school, and dental school, as well as to international students who wish to obtain direct experience at a U.S. institution prior to applying to U.S. scientific doctoral programs.
Many graduates of our accelerated program go on to pursue a Ph.D., or medical, pharmacy, nursing or dental degrees.
Others apply their skills to jobs in industry or other positions outside of academia. International students gain direct experience at a U.S. institution, including access to courses provided by U-M English Language Institute, with much of their offerings focused on high-level communication skills.
The Program in Chemical Biology offers preferred consideration for admission interviews with the Ph.D. program for students who maintain a GPA of 4.0 or higher (on a scale to 4.3) in their M.S. coursework.
