Our Chemical Biology alumni are engaged in careers that make use of their scientific background, with the majority in research-intensive careers. Some continue to pursue careers in academia, while others have chosen careers as scientists in biotech/pharma, as consultants and patent agents, entrepreneurs, science communicators, and more.
Professional Development Opportunities
Throughout the academic year, in addition to PCB events, the Rackham Graduate School hosts workshops, seminars and networking opportunities to support students’ professional development. We also host professional development events for PCB students, such as the annual Spring Retreat, where alumni are invited to return to Ann Arbor and engage with students through networking at this career exploration event.
Current students, affiliated faculty, and alumni of our Programs are invited to join the Program in Chemical Biology LinkedIn Group, specifically designed as a directory of current and past Chemical Biology students to facilitate networking and informational interviewing opportunities.
