Congratulations to our 5th-year students who successfully defended so far this month! Way to go Laura Cesa, Eric Sullivan, and Corey Custer!!!

To help young researchers studying at the Chemistry-Biology Interface (CBI) navigate through the multiple career paths available out there, the CBI Career Development Conference highlights a diversity of career choices. This event featured an extraordinary group of mentors that shared their experiences and journeys to find their dream job. It also provided a unique opportunity for students to learn about bench and non-bench career options and to network with scientists working in different career paths. Sessions covered a wide range of careers including academics, industry, law, tech transfer, consulting, science education, science administration, and science communication, among others.

Fourth year PCB student, Matthew DeMars, of Professor David Sherman's laboratory, has been awarded a Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship for the 2016-2017 year. Congratulations, Matt!
