Prospective UM graduate students are invited to register for 'Your Path to Go Blue!: Graduate Experience at the University of Michigan', a virtual event designed for students interested in pursuing graduate education to be held on November 10th, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. (EDT).

You'll hear from current U-M graduate students as they share their experiences with:

• Life in Ann Arbor, Michigan
• The campus community and culture
• Their research and time in academia

We are pleased to announce three PCB students - Mary Villarreal (Mapp Lab), Lauren Hart (Dick / Sherman Labs), and Andrea Valenzuela (Boyle / Chandrasekaran Labs) - have all successfully defended this August and September. Congratulations to Drs. Villarreal, Hart, and Valenzuela!

Rising second year Chemical Biology student, Clarissa Huisman (M. Ohi Lab), has been awarded a Michigan Predoctoral Training Program in Molecular Biophysics (MiMoB) Fellowship - congratulations, Clarissa!

Rising second year Chemical Biology student, Sam Steen (Biteen Lab), has been awarded a Chemistry Biology Interface Training Program (CBITP) Fellowship. Congratulations to Sam!

Rising third year Chemical Biology student, Alana Ponte (Balunas Lab) was recently awarded a Systems and Integrative Biology (SIB) Training Program Fellowship. Way to go, Alana!

Rising fifth year Chemical Biology PhD student, Casandra Sandoval and her advisor, Dr. David Sherman, has been selected for a Rackham PACE Fellowship, which recognizes accomplished doctoral students and faculty mentors nominated by their program who have demonstrated commitment to program climate and student success, based on their scholarly accomplishments and efforts to increase student climate, success, and community building within their field and department.
